BEDFORD – The Lower Salt Creek Watershed will host an educational Septic Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Otis Park Bath House, located at 607 Tunnelton Rd., Bedford.
The workshop aims to educate attendees on the function of septic systems, emphasizing the importance of proper maintenance for water quality.

Thanks to funding from the Lawrence County Community Foundation, the first 20 attendees to sign in and complete the entire workshop will receive a coupon for a $100 reimbursement towards a residential septic tank pump-out. To claim the reimbursement, participants must have their septic tank pumped by Dec. 1, 2025, and then bring their coupon along with a receipt from the septic company to the Lower Salt Creek Watershed office.
