ORLEANS — In celebration of the upcoming AT&T WNBA All‑Star Weekend in Indianapolis from July 18–19, Orleans Public Library will host a week-long literacy initiative, “All-Star Reads,” running from Tuesday, July 15 through Saturday, July 19 at the Orleans Public Library. During library hours, children can read or listen to one of ten donated WNBA-themed books and receive exclusive WNBA All‑Star 2025 swag while supplies last .

- Tuesday, July 15 – 10 AM–5 PM
- Wednesday, July 16 – 10 AM–6 PM
- Thursday, July 17 – 10 AM–5 PM
- Friday, July 18 – 10 AM–5 PM
- Saturday, July 19 – 9 AM–1 PM
A special story time session at 10:30 AM on July 15 marks the program’s kickoff. The ten books donated for the event include:
- “Girl Running: Bobbi Gibb and the Boston Marathon” by Annette Bay Pimentel
- “Kat’s Magic Helmet: The Early Racing Adventures of Katherine Legge” by Katherine Legge and Andy Amendola
- “Long-Armed Ludy and the First Women’s Olympics” by Jean L.S. Patrick
- “Lucy Tries Basketball” by Lisa Bowes
- “She Persisted in Sports: American Olympians Who Changed the Game” by Chelsea Clinton
- “She Persisted: Simone Biles” by Kekla Magoon
- “She’s Got This” by Laurie Hernandez
- “Sisters and Champions: The True Story of Venus and Serena Williams” by Howard Bryant
- “The Way Champs Play” by Naomi Osaka
- “Unbeatable Betty: Betty Robinson, the First Female Olympic Track & Field Gold Medalist” by Allison Crotzer Kimmel
This event is part of the broader WNBA All‑Star Reads campaign, aimed at promoting literacy and representation in youth sports literature. The program includes books and swag provided by the WNBA All‑Star Host Committee and Indiana Fever.
