MITCHELL – The Mitchell Community Public Library is hosting two exciting youth programs in July that combine fun, creativity, and learning.
On Tuesday, July 15, from 4 to 5 p.m., the library will present “Pet Cents: Adopt a Stuffy,” an interactive financial literacy event for children ages 5 to 12. Participants will explore the real-life costs of pet ownership through a hands-on activity and have the chance to adopt a plush animal to take home. The program emphasizes responsibility in a kid-friendly format.
Later that week, on Thursday, July 17, from 4 to 5 p.m., teens ages 12 to 18 are invited to attend “Caffeinated Crafts,” where they can create their own coffee, tea, or pink drink and craft a felt bookmark. The event will be held upstairs at the library and offers a fun, relaxed space for teens to unwind and get creative.
Registration is required for both events and can be completed by calling the library at 812-849-2412. Spaces are limited.
All programs are free and will take place at the Mitchell Community Public Library. For more information about these and other upcoming activities, visit mitchellcommunitylibrary.com.
