Magic, music, and more: Summer entertainment coming to Mitchell Opera House

MITCHELL – Get ready for a day filled with laughter, amazing feats, and non-stop music as acclaimed magician and comedian Dave Cottrell and the high-energy Endless Summer Band (ESB) prepare to entertain audiences. The event will also feature local food vendors and carnival games, promising fun for all ages at the Mitchell Opera House.

Dave Cottrell: Magician, Comedian & Banjo Player

Hailing from Southville, Kentucky, Dave Cottrell brings decades of experience to the stage. Having performed since 1971, his career spans across the United States, Japan, and Germany, and includes performances for two U.S. Presidents. The International Brotherhood of Magicians recognized an award-winning magician, Cottrell, for his “advancement and excellence in the Art of Magic.” He has shared stages with icons like David Copperfield, Jerry Reed, and George Strait.

Cottrell’s hour-long magic show is described as “knock your socks off” entertainment, blending comedy, mystery, and clean fun. Audiences can expect live animals, extensive participation, and even blazing 5-string bluegrass banjo. His “down home” Kentucky humor aims to create a memorable experience.

Endless Summer Band (ESB): The Non-Stop Party Machine

With over 34 years as a “non-stop party machine,” ESB is set to deliver an electrifying performance. This award-winning band, a multi-year champion on the Indy A-list and a recipient of 11 WeddingWire.com Couple’s Choice Awards, promises more than just a concert. They offer an “EXPERIENCE” featuring classic to current smash hits, tight harmonies, dazzling costume changes, and infectious audience participation.

ESB’s diverse repertoire includes Mega Hit Pop, Rock ‘n Roll, Blues, Memphis/Detroit Soul, Rock ‘n Country, and DooWop, ensuring a packed dance floor for three straight hours. Tickets for the Endless Summer Band show are $25 for all.
