BEDFORD — The Bedford Community Band invites residents to a free Independence Day performance this Friday, July 4th, at 5:30 p.m. at the Thornton Park Pavilion. Community members are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, enjoy an evening of patriotic music, and show their support for their local musicians.

The band comprises 45 musicians of all ages, including a significant number of student musicians from Bedford North Lawrence (BNL), Bedford Middle School (BMS), Mitchell Jr. High School (MJHS), and Mitchell High School (MHS). The diverse group is led by co-directors Drew Bailey and Paul Pfeifer.
The Bedford Community Band holds rehearsals on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the BNL band room. New members are always welcome to join this vibrant musical ensemble.
Residents are encouraged to come out and support this “wonderful group of musicians” as they celebrate Independence Day with a program of patriotic tunes.
