BEDFORD – Brian Brinegar carded a 1-over 73 to take the first-round lead in the Bedford Men’s Senior City golf tournament at Otis Park on Saturday.
Brinegar took a one-shot lead over Kim Henderson and J.T. Bellush heading into Sunday’s final round. Trevis Hutchinson settled two strokes back with a 75 as the field was trimmed to 12 for the Championship Flight.
In the Women’s City tournament, Peggy Taylor posted a 74 for a six-shot lead over Emma Endris, who also owns the first-round lead in the Girls Junior City with that score. Bedford North Lawrence standout Evan Tillett carded a 74 to take command in the Boys Junior City.
