BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence’s Ava Ratliff and Kendall Graves helped the South All-Stars sweep the North during the Softball Coaches Association of Indiana’s annual North-South All-Star clash on Saturday at Indiana University.

The South won the opener 4-3 with a walk-off run in the bottom of the sixth, then powered to a 6-0 victory in the second game.

Graves, a Butler recruit, singled in her only plate appearance in the second game. She grounded back to the pitcher in Game 1, and she gobbled up three straight ground balls at shortstop for outs in the fourth inning of the opener.

Ratliff, a Auburn recruit who started at catcher in Game 2, lined out three times (to center in the first game, then to shortstop and left field in her two at-bats in the second).

The South cruised to the win in the second game as Noblesville’s Brookelyn Grayson blasted a 3-run home run in the fourth. In the opener, Fishers star Kendall Jordan doubled in the game-winning run.
