BEDFORD — A 10-week parenting course designed to help families address and change destructive adolescent behavior will begin Tuesday, June 17, at the StoneGate Arts and Education Center in Bedford.
The program, titled The Parent Project: Parents Are the Answer, aims to equip parents with practical strategies for navigating challenges such as defiance, substance abuse, poor school performance, and screen time conflicts.

The course will run weekly on Tuesdays through Aug. 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The total cost is $30 per family for the entire program.
Course highlights include learning how to avoid arguments with teens, intervening in alcohol or drug use, improving attendance and academic performance, and exploring solutions for digital media-related issues.
“Parents often feel powerless when their child is struggling,” said course coordinator Katie Messmann. “This program gives them tools, hope, and support.”
Registration is required, and interested participants can contact Messmann at 812-275-5754 or scan the QR code provided on promotional materials.
Classes will be held at 931 15th Street in Bedford. The Parent Project is designed for parents of adolescents and is widely used nationwide to support families in crisis.
