Obituary: Gary Keith Hout

April 7, 1949 – June 6, 2025

Gary Keith Hout, 76, of Williams, passed away at 6:59 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Franciscan Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born April 7, 1949, in Robinson, IL, he was the son of Palmer and Leona (White) Hout. He married Vicki Orr, and she survives. He retired as a Navy Commander after 36 years of service and was a retired electronic engineer at CRANE after 36 years. He was a member of the Central Church of Christ. He was an avid golf lover and player and enjoyed his time with his golfing buddies.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Vicki, of Williams; two sons, Todd (Cheryl) and Craig (Kristen); grandchildren, Justin (Autumn) and Tristan (Allison) Hout, Britteny, Brendnt Hout, Alyssa (Brandon) Simmons, Alyana (Marco) Jewell, Katie (Anthony) Vo, Logan Lee, Jerad Lee; a brother, Dan (Dana) Hout, of Illinois; his little sister, Kelly (Greg) Dunn and their son, Garrison; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twelve brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life will be conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13th, at the Central Church of Christ Education Building located at 1321 12th Street, Bedford. Military rites will begin at 1:00 p.m. with members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that friends consider making contributions in Gary’s memory to the Wounded Warriors of Lawrence County, the American Cancer Society, or Phi Beta Psi Theta Alpha Gamma of Bedford.
