
BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested on Wednesday, June 4, after being found asleep in her vehicle at a car wash and subsequently found to have various controlled substances and drugs.

- 31 orange capsules preliminarily identified as gabapentin, a legend drug.
- 2 small white round pills preliminarily identified as Alprazolam, a Schedule IV controlled substance.
- An unopened package labeled Suboxone, a Schedule III controlled substance.
- A small plastic bag with a crystal-like substance that field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
Evans was informed of the findings and told she would be arrested. She was medically cleared at IU Health Bedford before being transported to the Lawrence County Jail. The suspected legend drug, Schedule III, and Schedule IV controlled substances will be sent to the Indiana State Laboratory for further identification.
Michelle Evans faces preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a legend drug, possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance, possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance, and possession of marijuana.
