Lawrence County 4-H Fair set for July 5-12; No carnival this year

BEDFORD– The 2025 Lawrence County 4-H Fair is quickly approaching, scheduled to run from July 5th to July 12th. Days at the fair will be filled with various 4-H exhibitors showcasing their animal projects, and the exhibit building will be open to display a wide array of projects completed over the past year.

Evening events at the Grandstand include the Demo Derby, Rodeo, Pig Scramble, and Tractor Pull, among other attractions. Free entertainment is scheduled, and music will be featured in the park as always.

Fairgoers can look forward to many favorite foods, including icy lemon shake-ups, scrumptious corn on the cob, and creamy cool ice cream. The Expo Hall will host vendors and exhibitors for shopping pleasure, and parking will be available free of charge.

However, the fair board announced that the greatest disappointment for the 2025 fair will be the absence of a carnival. Citing safety records, availability, and affordability as key considerations when booking events, the fair board stated they have searched the tri-state area but were unable to book a carnival that met their expectations.

The Lawrence County 4-H Clubs and Fair Association has expressed its commitment to the community and looks forward to continued support for many years to come.
