Lana Sue Smith, 65, of Mitchell passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Mitchell Manor.
Born May 5, 1960, in Bedford, she was the daughter of Clinton Moffatt and Patricia “Patty” (Moffatt) Dorsett. Lana worked at PRD and the Holiday Inn Express while also dedicating time to being a homemaker. Lana enjoyed country music and loved attending concerts with her friends. She adored her Yorkie dogs and was a graduate of Mitchell High School, class of 1978. Lana grew up in the Nazarene Church in Mitchell.
Lana leaves behind her husband, Tom Smith; two daughters, Holly (Ryan) Mills and Amanda (Brad) Totten; two grandchildren, Ezra Mills and Garrett Totten; one brother, Larry (Kathy) Moffatt; nephew, Brian Moffatt; and one niece, Lori Laird.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton Moffatt and Patricia (Moffatt) Dorsett; brother in infancy; and nephew, Aaron Scott McClung.
Cremation was chosen, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
