July 3, 1986 – May 24, 2025
Ashli Fleener, unexpectedly and against everyone’s will, left for an extended vacation on May 24, 2025, destination: a hot tub in heaven. While the hot tub should come as no surprise to those who knew her best, Ashli’s loved ones all wish she’d have just put one in her backyard instead.
Born on July 3, 1986, in Bedford, Ashli spent 38 years perfecting the art of sarcasm. Whether it was her ability always to find the best deals on a hotel, her unmatched Facebook detective skills, or her talent for turning everyday stories into epic sagas. Ashli was truly one of a kind. Before motherhood, she managed a Subway, where she may have taken “five-dollar footlongs” to mean you could get five footlongs for a dollar. Allegedly. She married her Viking husband, Kevin, in 2011. And despite what she may have told many of you, she loved those Renaissance Fairs, and he spent the next 13 years taking her to them. The two of them created four of the most remarkable and beautiful children ever to grace this Earth: Jensen (13), Annistyn (10), Simon (7), and Andersyn (2).
After having her first child, Kevin worked tirelessly to provide so that Ashli could stay home full time with their growing family. Ashli was a devoted mother. If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting any of her children, it’s easy to see that she was also a fantastic one.
Along with her husband and children, Ashli is survived by Keith Cobb; her mother, Tamara (Magnus) Hughes; stepfather, Bill Hughes; brother, David Cobb; sister, Tiffani (Devin) Hughes; a slew of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and likely, some foes.
She loved who she loved fiercely and had no qualms about putting you right in your place if needed. She selflessly gave her time to many, always willing to extend a helping hand and lend a listening ear.
Her vacation has left all who loved her a little jealous that we can’t share in the peace and quiet she’s experiencing now.
Instead of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe account set up to assist Kevin and the kids with expenses @ https://gofund.me/0e0652b3
The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025, at the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes in Bedford. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Hillenburg officiating. Following the service, friends and family are invited to meet at LawCo Sports from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., where food and stories will be shared, and laughter encouraged—just as she would have wanted it to be.
In the words of The Proclaimers, “I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more.” We’ll all be havering until we meet again.
Memories and condolences may be shared, and flowers may be ordered at www.FergusonLee.com.
