

BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence’s girls track season came to a conclusion during the IHSAA regional at Bloomington North on Tuesday.
The top three in each event qualified for the state finals at North Central in Indianapolis on June 7. The Stars did not advance in any event.
BNL’s top performance came from freshman Lily Scott, who finished fourth in the 400 in 1:02.30. Paige Voigtschild was seventh in the 800 in 2:24.28.
Other regional competitors for BNL included Avery Brown (14th in the pole vault at 7-6), Elise Williams (15th in the 800 in 2:33.90), Macey Lambrecht (16th in the shot put at 31-7.25), and the 3200 relay team of Voigtschild, Gracie Simmerman, Madison Chandler and Williams (ninth in 10:29.30).
Mitchell’s regional qualifiers included Marissa Blais (ninth in the 100 hurdles in 17.04 and ninth in the high jump at 5-0), Rhilyn Slaughter (13th in the long jump at 13-11), Brinley Slaughter (14th in the 400 in 1:05.39), Kaylynn Kohlhaas (sixth in the shot put at 35-6.5) and the 1600 relay team of Jorja Lamm, Brinley Slaughter, Norah Tanksley, Eleanor Fountain (15th in 4:31.29).
Bloomington South won the team title with 122 points. BNL was 24th with 7 points.
