BEDFORD— The doors open this morning for one of Indiana’s biggest free events for seniors — and if you’re reading this, there’s still time to join the fun.
The 2025 Senior Fair is happening today, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church, 508 Fellowship Drive in Bedford. Presented by Vertical Home Health and hosted by Classic Hits 105.5 WQRK, 102.5 Litefm, and 1340 WBIW, this event is completely free — no tickets, no cost, no catch.

To kick things off, tune in to 1340 WBIW between 8 and 10 a.m. for a special two-hour live episode of Talk of the Town featuring interviews with the vendors who make the Senior Fair such a beloved Bedford tradition. Whether you’re on your way to the event or just waking up, it’s the perfect way to get a preview of what’s in store.
With over 50 vendors offering resources and giveaways for seniors and caregivers, today’s event is packed with activities, prizes, and free food. The first 100 attendees through the doors will receive a special “Door Buster” prize — so arriving early is worth it.
WBIW will give away $100 in cash at 10:30 a.m. and again at 12:30 p.m. (you must be present to win), and vendors will be offering free drawings and handouts throughout the day.
Free health screenings — including blood pressure, eyesight, and blood sugar checks — will be available. Ferguson Lee Funeral Home will host three 25-minute pre-planning seminars at 8:30, 9:30, and 10:30 a.m., and WTIU will offer a photo booth for keepsake snapshots.

Come hungry: Stonebridge Health Campus is serving up a free lunch featuring pulled pork and chicken salad sandwiches. Magic Morning Bakery is providing free coffee, cookies, and donuts, and there will be fresh popcorn throughout the day.

Bingo will be played from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with prizes and no entry fee. If mobility is a concern, EZ Leasing will provide transportation from your car to the venue entrance.
Whether you’re just learning about it or already planning to go, don’t miss your chance to take part in this once-a-year celebration of our senior community. No money is needed — just show up and enjoy the day.
