MONTGOMERY- Daviess County Sheriff’s deputies are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing firearm that was lost during a response to an incident late Friday night.
On Friday, May 9th, at approximately 11:00 p.m., deputies were called to an incident in Montgomery. The subsequent investigation extended to areas east of the town. During their response, a 12-gauge shotgun, described as missing its stock, was reported lost in the vicinity.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who may encounter the firearm to exercise extreme caution and not touch it.
Anyone who finds the missing shotgun is asked to immediately contact the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office at 812-254-1060.
Authorities are hoping for the public’s cooperation in safely locating the lost weapon.
