A free workshop offering technology assistance and tips to avoid scams will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church, located at 1101 15th Street in Bedford.
The “Tech Help & Scam Prevention Workshop” will begin at 1:00 p.m. with an interactive training session covering phone and technology skills, including accessibility settings, how to recognize scams, and password safety.
Following the initial session, a “help desk” will open at 2:00 p.m., providing one-on-one assistance for individual technology-related questions. Attendees are encouraged to bring their devices for personalized tech support.
The workshop is sponsored by Do What Is Good, Inc., a faith-based organization that mobilizes church and community members to use their skills to serve their communities. Their ROI Digital Towns grant program aims to provide digital literacy workshops and assist residents with internet connectivity and skills.
