The Dogwood Festival Parade is Saturday in Orleans, see details here

ORLEANS- Everyone’s Favorite Hometown and the 55th edition of the Dogwood Parade will start Saturday afternoon from the Orleans High School. The school traditionally serves as the staging area for the event. Line up begins at 11 a.m. and continues up until 1 p.m. or so.  Judging of units begins at approximately 1 p.m.

The Parade travels down Maple Street (SR 37 S.) and through the historic downtown area, making its way past the reviewing stand before turning at Orleans Christian Church on West Jackson Street.

Parking will be prohibited anywhere along the main parade route from early Saturday until after the event that afternoon.   

S.R. 37 (Maple Street) will be closed during the Parade, with local traffic detoured on both the north and south ends of Orleans.
