
DAVIESS CO.– A traffic stop for speeding in Daviess County on Saturday afternoon resulted in the arrest of a Winslow man for operating a vehicle while impaired (OWI) and drug-related charges, according to Indiana State Police.
Master Trooper Gaven Wilson was patrolling State Road 57 near Washington on April 12th when he observed a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit. Trooper Wilson initiated a traffic stop and spoke to the driver, George Faith, 56, of Winslow, Indiana.
During the interaction, Master Trooper Wilson noted visible signs of impairment exhibited by Faith. Subsequently, a search of the vehicle was conducted, which allegedly yielded suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Faith was taken into custody and transported to the Daviess County Jail for a chemical test. Following the test, he was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Master Trooper Gaven Wilson was the arresting officer in this incident and was assisted by Trooper Connor Giesler.
