Deputy Andry was critically wounded in a January shooting. He was shot four times, including once in the head, during a traffic stop on January 3rd at the intersection of US 150 and State Road 56. The suspect, Austin Schepers, fled the scene and was later killed by law enforcement in Louisville.

Despite the long road to recovery, Darian Andry expressed gratitude for the community’s support, prayers, and outpouring of love. She described her husband as her “miracle and superhero.”

She also requested privacy for the family while adjusting to their “new lives at home,” emphasizing that unannounced visitors would not be welcome.
