BLOOMINGTON – Bedford North Lawrence won four events during girls high school track action at Bloomington North on Tuesday.
The Stars finished second in the three-team meet, scoring 47 points. The Cougars won the team competition with 104, while Brown County totaled 13. In the boys meet, North posted a 138-29 victory over BNL.
In the girls meet, BNL’s Elise Williams won the 800-meter race in 2:40.79, Macey Lambrecht claimed the shot put at 32-2, and Kinleigh Root cleared 4-8 to win the high jump. The Stars also won the 3200 relay as Williams, Paige Voigtschild, Gracie Simmerman and Francesca Orozco combined to clock 10:54.37.
In the boys meet, Brayden Patterson won the lone winner for BNL as he cleared 6-0 in the high jump.
BNL will compete at Seymour in a three-way meet with Jennings County on Thursday.
