Greene County General Hospital welcomes new pulmonologist

LINTON— Greene County General Hospital (GCGH) is thrilled to announce the addition of Dr. Eric Trueblood, MD, FCCP, to its My Clinics team. Dr. Trueblood is an experienced Pulmonologist specializing in treating respiratory illnesses and sleep disorders. 

Dr. Trueblood is a native of the Wabash Valley. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Trueblood performed his Residency at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Ohio and completed a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in San Antonio, Texas. Most recently, Dr. Trueblood was a physician at Monroe Cardiopulmonary Institute in Bloomington.  

In addition to his extensive medical training, Dr. Trueblood served in the United States Air Force. He served as a physician in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and in Afghanistan in 2004 as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. He was a Hurricane Katrina Rescue Critical Care Air Transport Team member in New Orleans in 2005. Dr. Trueblood earned multiple military awards, including a Meritorious Service Medal, a Humanitarian Service Medal, and an Air Force Commendation Medal. He also received the Outstanding Subspecialist Teacher of the Year Award twice from the Wright-Patterson Medical Center. Dr. Trueblood says, “I’m excited to join the Greene County General Hospital family. I look forward to sharing my experience and skills in pulmonology with the Greene County community and beyond. I see this as a great opportunity to continue to provide high-quality care to my current and new patients in a new setting.”
