INDIANA – Starting September 2024, Hoosier Hills Food Bank will adjust the distribution times for its Families First Mobile Food Pantries in Mitchell, Shoals, and Orleans. The new distribution time will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. The Bedford location will maintain its distribution time from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. This change also applies to CSFP (Senior Box) program pickups.
Here are the details for each of the pantries:
- SHOALS: 2nd Tuesday of each month – Family Fellowship Church – 122 Miller St – 11 am to 1 pm
- ORLEANS: 2nd Thursday of each month – Orleans Christian Church – 319 S Maple St – 11 am to 1 pm
- MITCHELL: 4th Thursday of each month – Mitchell First Church of God – 405 N 12th St – 11 am to 1 pm
- BEDFORD: 4th Tuesday of each month – Sherwood Oaks Christian Church – 508 Fellowship Dr. – 4 pm to 6 pm
The Families First Mobile Food Pantries are open to everyone and use a drive-through system. Low-income seniors over 60 can inquire about enrolling in the Commodity Supplemental Food Program by calling 812-334-8374 with any questions.
