Odon man arrested for drugs and burglary charges

ODON – On Saturday, April 13, detectives from the Indiana State Police were contacted about alleged domestic crimes and drug possession that had occurred in Odon.

Based on information gathered during the investigation, detectives requested a search warrant through the Perry County Circuit Court. As a result, on Wednesday, April 17, a search warrant was signed for the residence of 115 Demotte Drive in Odon.

Detectives with the Indiana State Police served that search warrant on Thursday, April 18. Matthew Cornelius, 45, of Odon, was arrested at the residence and is currently housed in the Daviess County Jail.

Cornelius is facing felony charges of burglary, stalking, voyeurism, five counts of intimidation, residential entry, possession of meth, and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.

This case is still pending, and there is no threat to the public.

The Department of Child Services assisted in the investigation.
