BEDFORD – Woman arrested after she makes two911 calls to report she received bad meth.

On January 10, 2024, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Captain Andrew Phillips responded to the 1000 block of Vinegar Hill Road to investigate two 911 calls, with no one responding to the dispatchers.

Sarah Harris

When Capt. Phillips arrived, he spoke to two individuals who said they didn’t make the calls. Another female, Sarah Harris, admitted to making the 911 calls. She told Captain Phillips she was given drugs the day before, but “it was not what is was supposed to be”. She told Capt. Phillips, “I wanted to turn the person in” who gave her the drugs.

She said she had been in bed all night because she felt like she had a heart attack but declined medical attention.

She told police she knew she was using illegal substances, but she wanted the substance tested and would like to file charges against who had sold them to her.

She admitted she had been to a friend’s house where they “smoked a bowl of normal meth together.” She also admitted to getting more meth and taking it home. But on January 10, around 12 a.m. to 1 a.m., she acknowledged she had snorted a line of the meth and noticed “something different when it touched her skin and nostrils.”

She gave Cat. Phillips what appeared to be a baggie of the remaining crystal meth.

The information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office, and a warrant was issued for her arrest on a charge of possession of meth.
