IEDA announces New Executive Director Alan Tió

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Economic Development Association (IEDA) is pleased to announce Alan Tió as its new Executive Director. Tió, a seasoned economic development professional with over 18 years of experience, will assume the role on Monday, March 18, 2024.

Tió brings a wealth of experience to the IEDA, having worked in economic development at various levels throughout his career. Most recently, he served as the CEO of the Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation, overseeing all aspects of the county’s economic growth.

Throughout his career, Tió has achieved significant accomplishments, including:

  • Being named a Top 50 Economic Developer in North America in 2019
  • Receiving the Indiana Governor’s “Circle of Corydon” award in 2018
  • Earning the DCI 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Economic Development award in 2015
  • Receiving the Indiana Governor’s Distinguished Hoosier Award in 2014

Tió holds a Master of Public Affairs degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International
Studies. He is also a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) and earned a Master Economic Development Practitioner (MEDP) certification.

The IEDA is confident that Tió’s leadership, experience, and expertise will be instrumental in guiding the organization to promote economic growth and prosperity throughout Indiana.
