According to Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Lonnie Johnson, on February 14th, a woman called Central Dispatch to report Imhoff had called her. She said she didn’t answer the phone call and wanted Imhoff prosecuted for violating the protective order. She said Imhoff was in jail in Brown County and he gets out on work release. She stated that is when she believed he made the call.

A protective order was issued from Lawrence Circuit Court on January 5, 2023.

The woman came to the Sheriff’s Department the following day. She reported that on March 20, 2023, at 1:56 p.m. she received a text message from Imhoff stating “I am done”.

Then on March 20, 2023 at 2:04 p.m. she received a text message from Imhoff’s father stating “Paul just had oral surgery. He accidentally texted and He’s still back there. Please omit the text.”

On February 14, 2024, at 6:31 p.m. she received a phone call from Imhoff but she did not answer the call. She then received a text message from Paul’s father who said he was working on insurance stuff and accidentally dialed her number and was going to call Sandy, he said he is sorry and didn’t mean to upset you.”

The woman also called the Brown County Jail to advise them Imhoff had called her while on work release. She said they seemed disinterested and didn’t know if they would do anything. Detective Robert Whyte contacted the Brown County Sheriff’s Department about the incident.
