INDIANAPOLIS – Bedford North Lawrence finished the boys swimming season in the IHSAA state finals preliminary races on Friday night.
The Stars competed in five events. The top eight in each event qualified for the state championship races on Saturday at IUPUI, while places 9-16 advanced to the state consolations.
BNL senior Isaiah Eicle was 31st in the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.98) and 32nd in the 500 free (5:11.51). BNL junior Garrett Gabhart was 21st in the 100 backstroke (52.32).
The Stars also swam two relays. Jayden Duke, Oliver Brown, Eicle and Gabhart placed 30th in the 200 free relay (1:32.25), while Eicle, Isaiah Conner, Brown and Gabhart were 29th in the 400 free relay (3:23.64).
