Tammy Harrell announced the group had collected 1,720 pounds of caps. The group will meet each Thursday until its goal of 2,200 pounds is reached. Caps can be dropped off at the parks department.

The group will use the bottle caps to make six benches and a picnic table at the new Pickleball Complex at Wilson Park. It will take roughly 350-400lbs of bottle caps to make one bench.

The next Altrusa meeting will be held on Monday, March 11th, at 5:30 at the Southland Church Annex.
