The State Fire Marshal’s Office and Bedford Police Department are investigating the cause of the blaze.

“Our trucks arrived within three minutes of the call. The investigator with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office was contacted and our firefighters did not leave the scene until 4:21 am,” said Bedford Fire Chief Luke Pinnick.

The store’s surveillance video captured a group of males before the fire was reported.

“We are investigating the incident and collecting all available evidence before accusing someone(s) of arson,” said Chief Terry Moore.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Bedford Police Department at 812-275-3311.

It is unclear at this time when or if the store will reopen. The Archdiocese will visit the scene this morning.
