Girl Scouts share love with veterans

BEDFORD – Lawrence County Girl Scout Troop 4678 shared love with veterans at the courthouse Tuesday afternoon.

Isa Turpin presents Brad Bough with his Valentine.

Valentine’s Day is a day of expressing the love you have for someone special in your life. Every veteran deserves to feel the love we have for the sacrifices they and their families have made. Making a heartfelt decorated card is just one small token to show our veterans they are not forgotten or alone.

The girls presented veterans with homemade Valentine’s cards.

“I want to sincerely thank these Girl Scouts for their kindness towards Lawrence County Veterans,” added Bough.

Girl Scout Leader Maria Pujols

Girl Scout Leader Maria Pujols is also a veteran. Presenting Valentines is one way to unite, share love and support for our veterans, and thank them for their service. Veterans missed many holidays and Valentine’s Day while serving our country.

“This is just a small token to show our appreciation. We will never forget your selfless service,” Pujols added.
