The 15th Annual Marsh Madness Festival is Feb. 16-17

LINTON – This year’s 15th Marsh Madness Festival will be held on February 16-17.

Friends of Goose Pond presents the festival, which celebrates the spring migration of sandhill cranes, whooping cranes, and numerous waterfowl to the Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area.

Marsh Madness features a variety of cultural, educational, and wildlife conservation-oriented experiences.

This year’s festival will be held Friday, February 16th, at the Linton Elks Club and Saturday, Feb. 17, at Humphreys Park and Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area. 

Tickets are $30. Tickets include entrance to the kickoff banquet and auction and all the activities at Humphrey’s Park on Saturday. Please note that tickets sold online are for pickup only at the Linton Elks on February 16. Tickets will not be mailed to you.

Goose Pond Fish & Wildlife Area in Greene County provides quality hunting, wildlife viewing, and trapping opportunities on 9,018 acres of prairie and marsh habitat. About 12,000 wildlife watchers visit annually, and the property records about 3,500 annual hunting efforts.

Friends of Goose Pond was established to support the goals of wildlife conservation and habitat restoration at Goose Pond Fish and Wildlife Area through environmental education, scientific research, and recreational activities and programs.
