The School Smiles program is coming to Dollens Elementary

Oolitic– The dentist is coming to Dollens Elementary. The School Smiles on-site dental program provides on-site dental care at the school for all Dollens students who sign up to participate. The dental team will be set up inside the school and they accept Medicaid, private insurance, and offer self-pay rates and grants through their foundation.

Dental care is a very important part of a young person’s life. Cavities (also known as caries or tooth decay) are the most common chronic disease of childhood in the United States. Untreated cavities can cause pain and infections that may lead to problems with eating, speaking, playing, and learning. According to the CDC, children who have poor oral health often miss more school and receive lower grades than children who don’t.

Registration is now open online at: www.schoolsmiles.com/student-signup.
