OOLITIC – The Town of Oolitic voted to hire 812 Disposal LLC for the town’s trash disposal services Friday afternoon.
Officials signed a six-month contract at a cost of $3,000 a month. Service began on January 1, 2024, and will run through June 30, 2024. The first day of trash collection will be on Thursday, January 4, and will continue every Thursday except on Holidays or inclement weather.
The contract will be paid from the town’s sanitation funds.
Residents are asked to bag and in a garbage can, but are not required. The trash should be placed at the curb on the morning of pickup.
No brush, leaves, rocks, large items, or hazardous materials will be accepted.
Residents will be charged $10 a month for trash pick-up.
