BLOOMINGTON – On Monday, December 18, 2023, Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton, joined by City of Bloomington staff and representatives from Everside Health, celebrated the official opening of the first health clinic for city employees with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and clinic tour.
The clinic, located at 514 West 2nd Street, is operated by Everside Health and is open to all city employees and their families on the city health insurance plan.
The employee clinic, now open for walk-ins and appointments, provides primary and preventive care, vaccines, labs, physicals, treatment for mental illness, fitness and nutritional coaching, and many other services in-person or virtually. Employees can also access five other Everside clinics in Bedford, Indianapolis, Martinsville, Seymour, and Terre Haute.
“Health care is difficult to access in the Bloomington area, with patients sometimes having to wait weeks or months for an appointment,” said Mayor John Hamilton. “This clinic will improve access to health care for City employees and their families, saving time and money and promoting health, wellness, and positive outcomes.”
