Kenley Shaw is the Martin County Cancer Patient Services Student Ambassador

MARTIN CO. – Martin County Cancer Patient Services was formed in February 2023.

The nonprofit organization’s motto is “Nobody fights alone.” 

Its mission is to assist people impacted by cancer, who reside in Martin County. Services provided include gas cards, transportation, food supplements, and medical equipment. Services are funded by grants and donations.

In September 2023, which was National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Martin County Cancer Patient Services named 16-year-old Kenley Shaw – Martin County Cancer Patient Services – Student Ambassador for Martin County. 

Kenley, a Junior at Shoals High School, is a cancer survivor.  She is eager to help others within her community.   

On December 18, Kenley will be accepting a check from the Martin County Community Foundation to help jumpstart the Martin County Cancer Patient Services – Student Ambassador Program.  The check will be presented at 3:30 p.m. at the Martin County Community Foundation office located at the Martin County 4-H Fairgrounds in Loogootee.
