Sue Ann Wilkerson, 78, of Mitchell, passed away Friday, December 8, 2023, at Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.
Born May 8, 1945, in Lawrenceport, she was the daughter of Cecil Benjamin and Elsie Veryl (Robertson) Allen.
Sue worked as a certified nursing assistant at Mitchell Manor and CORE Nursing & Rehabilitation. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Mitchell. Sue was a hard worker; she enjoyed mowing yards and spent many years mowing with her dad.
Surviving are her, children, Ronnetta Sue (Freddie) Hopper of Mitchell and Tresa Hamilton of Mitchell; grandchildren, Audrey (Jeff), Brandon, Matthew (Temple), Miranda (Matt), Stewart (Kelsey), Isabella (Eduardo), and Spencer (Sydney); great-grandchildren, Alexis, Carol, Violet, Lenora, Claire, and Narissa; sister, Rosemary Brewer of Mitchell; and her significant other, Paul David Basinger of Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents; daughter, Yolanda Spicer; brother, Bob Allen; and son-in-law, Warren Spicer, preceded her in death.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Haverly Chapel with Bro. Brian Bolton officiating. The burial will be in Lawrenceport Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home.
