Orange County Community Foundation celebrates philanthropic work

ORANGE CO. – Wednesday night, was an evening of celebration for all of the philanthropic work happening in Orange County, through or in partnership with the Orange County Community Foundation Inc.

For her contributions to Orange County over the last 19 years, Imojean Dedrick was presented with the “Sagamore of the Wabash” award. This award is the highest honor bestowed by a sitting Indiana governor. It is a personal tribute usually presented to persons who have rendered a distinguished service to the State or the sitting governor. The award was presented last night by Indiana State Representative Steve Bartels and State Senator Eric Koch.

Jason Lindsey, pastor and philanthropist of Love Never Fails United Christian Church received the Orange County Philanthropist of the Year award for 2023. His work includes substance use rehabilitation, youth outreach, and addressing food insecurity in our community.

Stevie Allen, business owner, and philanthropist, was the recipient of Orange County’s Emerging Philanthropist award for 2023. Stevie operates two locations of her business, Elite Therapeutic massage & Tanning,LLC, is involved in the local 4-H club and was instrumental in the formation Possibilities in Paoli – Achieving Main Street and currently sits as the organization’s Vice Chair.
