BLOOMINGTON – Enjoy a day out with winter crafts and a scavenger hunt during an open house on Sunday, December 17 at Paynetown State Recreation Area at 4850 South State Road 446, in Bloomington.
The event will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Paynetown State Recreation Area activity center.
There is no fee to enter Paynetown SRA during the winter season.
This is a drop-by event, and registration is not required; however, officials would like you to RSVP on the Facebook event page to help staff prepare.
Several winter-themed crafts will be available for attendees to make. Hot tea and cocoa will also be available, and a simple outdoor scavenger hunt can be completed for a prize.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early or stick around after the open house to enjoy a hike on the park trails ranging from 0.5 to 1.25 miles in length.
