MITCHELL – Firefighters are battling a mobile home fire at 511 South 5th Street in Mitchell.
Firefighters from Mitchell, Marion Township, Shawswick, and Huron Volunteer Fire Departments responded just after 3 p.m. An IU LifeLIne ambulance is also on the scene.
The homeowner, Colleen Griffin, and her two dogs escaped the blaze.
She said she had just paid off the home her grandfather gave her and did not have insurance.
