4-H enrollment is open for 2023-2024

LAWRENCE CO. – Looking for a great gift idea or helping a young person get involved in our community? Think about an enrollment in Indiana 4-H! 4-H is a premier source of enjoyable, educational programs to help young people reach their full potential.

4-H is the largest youth organization in the nation, and there is a place for you with many different clubs, trips, scholarships, and other opportunities available. Enrollment is open now, and you are encouraged to enroll now to begin getting involved with clubs.

It doesn’t matter where you live or what you want to be when you grow up. In 4-H, you can make friends, have fun, and try new things with the help of caring adults. Whatever your interests, there is a 4-H experience for you. Explore your path through hands-on projects like robotics and computers, cooking and eating healthy, raising and taking care of animals, performing arts, discovering nature, and helping your community. Indiana 4-H is the state’s largest youth development program for grades K-12, reaching more than 200,000 youth in all 92 counties.

4-H Youth Development Educators in each Purdue Extension county office coordinate local activities.
In Lawrence County, approved adult volunteers teach young people specific skills related to a wide variety of subjects through hands-on, experiential learning. Youth also develop leadership and citizenship skills by participating in one of Lawrence County’s organized 4-H Clubs. Subjects include science, technology,
engineering, and math (STEM), agriculture, citizenship, healthy living, art, consumer and family sciences, and more.
