Keep the little ones entertained with 3 Easy Thanksgiving crafts

BEDFORD – Thanksgiving is just a few days away, and if you’re worrying about how to keep the little ones occupied while you finish your Thanksgiving preparations, rest easy.

Here are three simple, fun, and Thanksgiving-themed crafts to keep the little guys occupied.

Pony Bead Pumpkins

Using pipe cleaners and pony beads, this craft is simple, cute, and most of all, fun! Set your kiddos down with a box of pony beads and pip cleaners, show them how to make one following THESE easy directions, and let them go!

You will need:

  • Pony beads
  • Pipe cleaners
    • green
    • brown
    • orange
  • a pencil

Pony Bead Indian Corn

If you don’t want the mess of real Indian corn, allow your kids to craft some for you with pony beads and pipe cleaners. They’ll last until you take them apart, and they’ll make adorable creations with personal meaning years down the line.

It’s easy to do, and looks great as well! Just follow THESE directions, and go wild! You can follow natural corn colors, or make unique-to-you color schemes.

You will need:

  • Pony beads in whichever color you want your “corn”
  • Tan or brown pipe cleaners

Thankful Pumpkin

For the older kids, try out an exercise in being thankful by letting the, write what they’re thankful for on strips of colored paper, and then staple them together into cute little pumpkins.

All you need is:

  • Scissors
  • Stapler
  • Cardstock in orange and green
