Bloomington ISP trooper promoted to detective

BLOOMINGTON – Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter recently announced the promotion of Trooper Kent Rohlfing to the position of Detective for the Bloomington District.

Trooper Rohlfing earned this promotion through a competitive selection process and will serve as a detective for the Bloomington District, which includes Morgan, Monroe, Brown, Lawrence, Greene, and Owen counties. He is a graduate of the 69th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy in 2008 and currently resides in Morgan County with his wife and daughter.

Detective Rohlfing’s duty assignments included the Bloomington and Indianapolis districts. He has served as a field training officer, a member of the Tactical Intervention Platoon, and worked with the Drug Enforcement Section conducting investigations into the possession, distribution, and production of illicit drugs.
