BEDFORD – Bedford North Lawrence senior Madisyn Bailey was named October’s Genius Jock by the Pritchett Brothers Roofing and Exteriors. She is the daughter of Cody and Jessica Bailey.
Madisyn has been part of many clubs and organizations like Beta Club, Champions Together, Student Council, Pep Club, and the Student Athlete Leadership Team.
She has also volunteered at the Riley Dance Marathon.
She was awarded with the HHC Honorable Mention for 2022-2023, the Mental Attitude Award for 2023, and the Class 4A Girls Basketball State Championship team.
While winning an award for her basketball skills, it wasn’t the only sport Madisyn played. Along with her four years of basketball, she has also played a year of volleyball.
This stellar student managed all of these feats while maintaining a GPA of 4.26.
In the coming years, Madisyn plans to attend Marian University to study Accounting and to continue playing Basketball.
