Washington man arrested after placing a tracking device on a vehicle

WASHINGTON – Washington Police officers arrested a Linton man Friday night on a warrant on charges of stalking and invasion of privacy.

Police arrested 39-year-old Lance Simmons after police received a complaint that Simmons had placed a tracking device on a vehicle and had seen Simmons in the area.

Simmons had previously been released from jail on charges stemming from a burglary investigation in October involving the same person who made the latest complaint.

Assisting Washington Police were Daviess County Sheriff’s Department officers, Indiana State Police troopers, Linton Police Department officers, and the Knox County High Tech Crime Unit.
