BLOOMINGTON – Indiana University held the first-ever academic conference dedicated to Taylor Swift. Experts from around the world rushed to Bloomington to dissect every aspect of the singer’s career.
Hundreds of Swiftie scholars will be studying the impact of the mega popstar including her songwriting, impact on the economy, and more.
“Taylor Swift the Conference Era” drew presenters from as far away as Toronto, Canada, and Exeter, England, to discuss everything from Swift’s musical composition and lyricism to her fan base.
The event was organized by the university’s Arts & Humanities Council. It is currently sold out on both Friday and Saturday.
This year, Taylor Swift embarked on her record-breaking Eras Tour, which sold over 2.4 million tickets in a single day.
