Secretary of State Diego Morales recognizes National Election Hero Day

INDIANAPOLIS – Today is National Election Hero Day!  Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales is recognizing and thanking Hoosier election workers for their tremendous contributions to ensuring safe, secure, and successful elections.

County clerks, election teams, poll workers, voter registration administrators, and many other Hoosiers have taken the time and effort to fulfill their civic duty.  Elections are community-driven. From county clerks spending months tirelessly preparing for elections to poll workers who are checking in voters at the polls; these teams are essential to elections across our state.

“Please join me in taking the time to thank our incredible poll workers and staff you see when cast your ballot.  Elections would not be possible without these dedicated Hoosiers stepping up and serving our state.  Many start their workdays before the sun comes up and will still be there long after the sun goes down on Election Day.  Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and we thank each of you, Election Heroes,” said Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales.

Poll workers are needed for next year’s National, State, and County Primary and General Elections. People interested in signing up to become a poll worker or learning more are encouraged to contact their local election office which can be found here

As a reminder, tomorrow November 7th is Election Day.  Hoosiers can always check their voting status, find polling locations, and see a sample ballot at the IndianaVoters.com website.
