Monroe County Democratic Party to host Election Night Watch Party

BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County Democratic Party, in collaboration with candidates in Bloomington, will be hosting an Election Night Watch Party on Tuesday, November 7th at Dimension Mill, located at 642 N Madison St in Bloomington. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will continue until 8:30 p.m.

All Democratic candidates, their supporters, and Democrats at large in Monroe County are welcome. Results will be projected live. Mayoral Candidate Kerry Thomson, Clerk Nicole Bolden, and Bloomington Common Council candidates will give victory speeches and have press availability.

Additional entertainment, including live music, speeches, and an audio-visual program, is planned for the evening.

The Monroe County Democratic Party supports our party’s nominees in their respective races and wishes them all well on Election Day. While only one race, Hopi Stosberg in District 3, is contested. MCDP encourages all voters to exercise their right to vote in this election and to participate in the MCCSC referendum also on voters’ ballots.

“After a long municipal election with a good referendum to support the MCCSC, we hope the public will join us for what should be a unifying event for our community,” said David Henry, MCDP Chair. “We look backward with thanks for the chapter that closes in our local political story, and are hopeful for the chapters to come with new leadership taking up the pen.”
