LINTON – Greene County General Hospital (GCGH) is among the top hospitals in the country according to new rankings from the federal government.
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) use a one-star to five-star ranking system. GCGH is honored to achieve a 5-Star Overall rating and a 5-Star rating in Patient Experience.
The ratings are based on mortality data, hospital re-admissions, safety measures, timely & effective care, and patient experience. Star ratings give people information and help them compare hospitals locally and nationwide.
GCGH Chief of Clinical Quality Jill Raines says, “We are so excited to receive this 5-Star rating as it reflects our unwavering commitment to providing outstanding healthcare services to our patients and community. The 5-Star Overall rating reaffirms GCGH’s position as a cornerstone of excellence in healthcare that remains dedicated to continuously raising the bar and setting new standards for patient care.”
According to Medicare.gov, GCGH is one of only two Indiana hospitals with a 5-Star Overall rating and 5-Star Patient Experience rating.
