Orleans town crews hang hometown heroes banner

ORLEANS – Orleans Town Crews were busy late last week hanging up the new Orleans Hometown Heroes Banners along Maple Street (State Road 37) in preparation for the upcoming Veterans Day holiday.

The “Operation Orleans Hometown Heroes Project,” kicked off this past August. Residents were encouraged to honor their hero, a family member or friend who is a Veteran past and present by purchasing one of the new street banners.

The Hometown Heros Banners will be displayed on the period street lamps throughout the month of November to honor and celebrate our Veterans and their Service.

The banners will be custom-created by HD Graphix.

The project is a joint effort between the Warren Brock American Legion Post #69 and the Town of Orleans.
